☕️ The Sunday Scroll: More #NSale Try-Ons, This Week’s Top Ten & My Weekly Edit
Pour a coffee and catch up: life updates, new try-ons, this week’s best sellers, good reads, and my latest finds. Your Sunday Scroll starts here!
Good morning! I hope you’re having a good weekend. My Pilates class got canceled yesterday morning, and the kids all had their own plans, so I came back home and tried on a bunch of things that arrived while we were away, and took some pictures for you.
We hung out with the neighbors yesterday afternoon—they hosted a pig roast, which was really fun. After that, I turned on some music, grabbed my computer, and pulled together a quick try-on haul with the last few items from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that just came in. I think my favorite is the Lorelei Denim Jacket, and not just because it’s a nod to my favorite TV series of all time. (IYKYK)

Today we have church this morning, and then we’re heading into Philly tonight to see Beetlejuice. Caroline’s been wanting to see it, and since it closes after tonight, I grabbed a few last-minute tickets.
In between, I’m hoping to sneak in some pool time this afternoon—if it’s warm enough! It’s actually been pretty mild here since those big storms blew through on Thursday. I wore jeans to the pig roast yesterday and was perfectly comfortable. It was sunny with no humidity, and I think the temps only hit the mid-70s. It’s just 58 right now—perfect walking weather, so I need to get out there!
Keep scrolling to see this week’s favorites and my Weekly Edit, with what I’m reading, watching, listening to, and eyeing right now.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
xx,
Jo-Lynne

🔟 Top Ten of the Week
These were your most-loved items this week:
Caslon Cotton Stretch Twill Swing Jacket (S) // The perfect lightweight layer for fall. I love the swingy silhouette and thoughtful details, and the stretchy twill fabric makes it easy and comfortable to wear.
AllSaints Anna V-Neck Cotton T-Shirt (M) // My go-to white tee this summer. I love the boxy fit and the trim around the shallow v-neck for a polished finish.
Madewell The Suede Shopper Tote // One of my favorite #NSale finds this year. The soft, slouchy suede is absolutely gorgeous, and this relaxed tote style is going to be everywhere this fall.
PAIGE Syrie Top (M) // A beautiful sweater tank you can wear now and straight into fall. The rich chocolate brown is right on-trend, and the cable knit with scalloped edges adds such a pretty texture to any outfit.
Slouchy Suede Woven Hobo Bag // A budget-friendly alternative to the suede shopper tote—same slouchy vibe and fully stocked.
Rails Alma Cotton Blend Jacket (S) // Another great fall layering piece. The collarless design feels fresh and current, and the quality on this one is really nice.
Nordstrom T-Bar Pebble Pendant Necklace // A simple way to update your accessory game without spending a lot. I love the toggle detail paired with the chain-link collar and the small drop pendant, and I went with the mixed-metal option (of course!).
MOTHER The Outsider Flood (30) // These grey ankle bootcut jeans are going to be on major repeat this fall and winter. The fit is so flattering, and the versatile grey wash is a softer alternative to black but still a nice break from blue denim.
PAIGE Anessa High Waist Ankle Wide Leg Utility Pants (29) // My favorite wide-leg ankle style in a rich dark brown brushed twill. The utility pockets give them a casual vibe that’s perfect for the transition season. (And if you like these, don’t miss the black denim pair—they’re still mostly in stock!)
Wit & Wisdom Wyatt Skyrise Washed Ankle Wide Leg Jeans // A more budget-friendly take on the brown PAIGE Anessa. These have a slightly more washed finish that gives them a lived-in, relaxed look.
HONORABLE AMAZON MENTIONS: You also loved the bracelet helper tool and the handbag hanger clip I mentioned in last Sunday’s Edit. I haven’t used the bag hanger yet, but it’s in my purse ready to go. I’m still getting the hang of the bracelet helper tool, but once I get over the learning curve, I think it’s going to be really handy.
✨ The Weekly Edit
A few things I’ve been loving lately:
🎧 Currently Listening: Gwyneth, the autobiography by Amy Odell on Audible. I don’t use Audible very often, but sometimes I get tired of podcasts, so I thought I’d try to “read” this one with my ears.
📖 Currently Reading: I finally finished The Third Gilmore Girl when we were in Maine, so I started another book Caroline lent me, The House Across the Lake by Riley Sager. I’m about halfway in, and it’s really good so far, but I hear it turns paranormal, which isn’t my favorite genre. I’m still sticking with it, though, and I’ll report back!
📺 Currently Watching: My son recommended The Pitt, and I started it before we left for Maine, but I wasn’t immediately drawn in. He thought I’d like it since I loved ER and Grey’s Anatomy (until it jumped the shark). I’ll give The Pitt another try when I’m not so distracted… although when that will be, I have no idea, lol!
Side note: when did Noah Wyle become an old man? He’s only a year older than I am, and I did not need that reality check!
🛍️ Just Added to My Cart:
these lululemon pants for upcoming travel
this longline denim vest for pairing with my white denim flares, and this barn jacket for styling budget-friendly fall looks
these toe separators that Angie recommended (I also have issues with my toes rubbing when I do a lot of walking—hoping these will help!)
this new lip balm that Grace recommended (I’ve also heard good things about the hand cream from the same brand; you can sign up for their emails and get 15% off first-time orders)
the Lorelai denim jacket in a size small (I think the medium is probably my correct sizer, but I want to be sure; it looked a little big to me when I watched back my Instagram Reel this morning)
💡 Style Inspo: Outfit Formula: Bits of Summery Black
I love wearing black in the summertime, and Angie has some great outfit inspo here! I might even do a blog post with some of my favorite summer looks featuring black. The problem is, a lot of the pieces I’d include are sold out. Is it still worth it? #occupationalhazards
💪 Health & Wellness: You Were Lied To About Exercise
This post popped up in my Substack feed (or maybe the Notes section—I can’t keep them straight, lol), and I thought it was fascinating.
Evidently (from the Epilogue) it went viral on Substack, and I’m not surprised! It’s definitely worth reading to the end.
🧠 Food for Thought: Less Doing, More Being
This post really struck a chord with me, especially the part about AI.
I’m currently at a point in my business where I need to decide if I want to scale up or scale back. I can’t keep doing what I’m doing—that much I know. I apologize for being cryptic, but I’ll share more once I figure things out. In the meantime, if you’re someone who tends to overdo it, you might enjoy this post too.

I want to put in my thoughts about The Pitt. I love it but it is a bit graphic. After I finished watching the first season I went back and started watching ER again. I recommend it highly.
I'm so jealous! I'm in Houston and it's blazing hot. I have family in Washington's Crossing and sure wish I was there enjoying the FABULOUS weather!
