The Sunday Scroll: Update from Nashville + My Weekly Edit and Reader Favorites
Life lately, top sellers, and what I’m eyeing now—consider this your weekly dose of style + inspiration.
Well, yesterday was a looong day, but we got Becca all moved into her new space. I was in charge of fitting all her clothes into the wardrobe, so I made a bit of an art project out of it—color coding everything and fanning the sleeves. My old retail days were coming out! Her apartment is beautiful this year, with a view of the Nashville skyline. It’s almost enough to make me want to go back to college.
It feels so different moving a child in once they already have their community and know the lay of the land. When I woke up this morning in the hotel and realized she wasn’t in the bed next to me, I didn’t feel that awful sucker punch to the gut. I’m content knowing she’s happy and exactly where she’s supposed to be. It also helps that she wasn’t home much this summer; I’m getting used to the hellos and good-byes. And at least I don’t have to do this all over again next weekend with Caroline—one of the many perks of having only one kid in college!
That said, Caroline and I will be back in Nashville soon—we have tickets to see the Dolly: An Original Musical at Belmont next week, and I’m really looking forward to that.
Meanwhile, I have one more day here before heading home tomorrow. I’m planning to help Becca and her roommate stock the kitchen and finish up a few things for her bedroom, and then I’ll probably be on my own tonight while she’s off with friends. There was a really good band in our hotel bar last night, so maybe I’ll get lucky again tonight.
As usual, I have the Top Ten of the Week and a short Sunday Edit for you below. Have a great day!
xx,
Jo-Lynne

A few things I’ve been loving lately:
🎧 Currently Listening: Julielle played in our hotel bar last night, and she was amazing. I found her on Spotify, so now I’m streaming all her originals.
💄 Beauty Find: Affogato L'Orange Buffing Bar Starter Set
”This new iteration utilizes the same hero ingredients—adjusted in concentration—to offer a milder grade of physical exfoliation than its existing counterparts.”
I love the original Buffing Bar, and this one sounds amazing. It also comes with a “Soap Home” (a drying dish with splash cover that allows for maximum air flow and minimal water contact so the bar doesn’t melt away in the shower).
💸 Style Steals:
MOTHER Tomcat Roller Sneak (30% off!)
15% off ÉTICA denim with code JOLYNNE15
